Personal Care at Home

Skilled, respectful assistance with activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and hygiene, so your loved one can remain comfortable, confident and independent at home.

Everyday Living Independence Support

Assistance with activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and hygiene, is at the heart of what home care means. When these tasks become difficult, having a skilled, compassionate carer arrive consistently and on time makes an enormous difference to someone's comfort, confidence and quality of life. At Wisteria, personal care is delivered with patience, respect and genuine attention to each person's preferences and routines.

What is Personal Care?

Personal care covers assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), the fundamental self-care tasks that a person can no longer perform safely or comfortably without support. This includes bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, continence management and safe mobility and transfers. Our support workers are trained in safe manual handling, continence care and person-centred approaches to daily living support, operating within the scope of a community home care setting.

How it works

1

Free assessment

Our RN meets with you and your family to understand current needs, preferences and routines.

2

Personalised care plan

We design a plan specific to your loved one, tasks, timing, frequency, and carer preferences.

3

Carer matching

We introduce your carer before the first visit. We aim for the same carer each visit wherever possible.

4

Ongoing review

Your care plan is reviewed regularly. You can contact us directly at any time.

🩺 Clinical note: All personal care plans at Wisteria are designed and reviewed by a Registered Nurse, identifying clinical risks like pressure injuries, skin breakdown and mobility issues early.
