Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 July 2026. This policy explains how Wisteria Home Care collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
Plain-English summary: we only collect what we need to assess and provide your care, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to access, correct, or delete it at any time by contacting us below.
1. Who we are
Wisteria Home Care ("Wisteria," "we," "us") provides home care services across Westmead, Glenwood, Quakers Hill, and the surrounding Western Sydney region. We are committed to handling personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, and postal address
- Care-related information you choose to share: the type of support you're enquiring about, care needs, or relevant medical or health context
- Employment information, if you apply for a role through our Jobs page (resume, work history, references)
- Technical information collected automatically, such as pages visited and general location, via analytics tools like Google Analytics
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries and assessment requests, arrange and coordinate care services, communicate with you about your care, comply with our obligations under the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC) standards and Support at Home program requirements, and improve our website and services.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with care staff directly involved in delivering your service, your GP or treating health professionals with your consent where relevant to your care, government bodies where required for Support at Home funding administration, and service providers who help us operate, who are only permitted to use your data to provide that service to us.
5. Health information
Where you share health-related information with us, we treat this as sensitive information under the APPs and apply additional care in how it is stored, accessed, and used, limiting access to staff directly involved in your care.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This may involve cookies that collect non-identifying information such as pages viewed and general location. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.
7. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. No online transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected at every stage.

This policy is a general template and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. We'd recommend having it checked by a solicitor familiar with Australian privacy and aged care law before publishing it live, particularly around the handling of health information.
